Apologetics Forum of Snohomish County addresses creation research May 16

ARLINGTON — The next meeting of the Apologetics Forum of Snohomish County will start at 7 p.m. on Friday, May 16, at the Atonement Free Lutheran Church, located at 6905 172nd St. NE in Arlington.

Dr. Heinz Lycklama, one of the founders of the Apologetics Forum of Snohomish County, explained that the May 16 meeting would host Dr. Larry Vardiman, former vice president of the Institute for Creation Research, to speak on the subject of "Thousands, Not Billions: Nuclear Evidence for a Young Earth."

During this lecture, Vardiman will argue that people have been misled about the reliability of radioactive dating methods.

The May 16 meeting promises to offer exhibits, books and DVDs for sale, including the "Thousands, Not Billions" book and DVD, selected books and DVDs from Saints Alive, and four DVDs from Ray Comfort — "Noah and the Last Days," "Evolution vs. God," "180-Degree Turn" and "Why Christianity?" Attendees are encouraged to visit these exhibits following the lecture.

Lycklama invited people to connect with the Apologetics Forum of Snohomish County via the group's website at http://apologeticsforum.org, to receive news and updates on its events, resources and links.
