SMOKEY POINT — The Stillaguamish Senior Center is offering Thursday health and wellness seminars throughout the month of January.
On Jan. 16 at 1 p.m. in the Senior Center's Boardroom, Cindy Jobs will be conducting the "Organizing to Simplify" seminar.
"From de-cluttering our kitchens to getting our filing systems in order, organizing our homes helps reduce stress, boost energy, save money and give us more time to enjoy the life we want to live," said Adele Erbeck, outreach coordinator for the Stillaguamish Senior Center. "During this presentation, you will learn the top tips to get more organized, so you can get more out of life. Cindy Jobs is the owner of 'Organizing To Simplify,' a professional organizing business focused on finding new ways to simplify, organize, downsize, de-clutter and bring new processes to our everyday work and home lives, saving time and money."
On Jan. 23 and 30 at 1 p.m. in the Senior Center's Boardroom, the AARP will be presenting "Finances 50-Plus: Take Control of Your Finances."
"This program is designed for people 50 years and older, whose goals and action plans can be put into place to protect assets, repair and rebuild credit, increase savings, and decrease debt," Erbeck said. "The Finances 50-Plus workshops can help you get on track to your future financial security. Whether you're feeling overwhelmed by not enough money to go around, or simply hoping to save more money, this program offers assistance in setting and achieving goals. In two free sessions, you'll learn how to develop smart money habits and take charge of your financial future."
