‘Live, Love, Now’ at Reset Church in Marysville

Reset Church was formed as Turning Point World Outreach in May of 1996. It is a non-denominational gathering with people of all religious and non-religious backgrounds.

Jeff and Holly Hastings began their leadership at Reset in October, 2011. The vision of Reset is defined as “Live. Love. Now.” The goal is to help people to live and love like Jesus daily. It believes that now is the time to be more like Jesus. It has an overall mission strategy of “Engage – Equip – Empower”. Reset members are called to engage those around them with the life and love of Jesus. Reset Church is gifts-based. The leadership has established 10 teams to accomplish the work of the ministry. The teams are: Outreach, First Impressions, Experience, Worship, Prayer, Children, Youth, Connection, Assimilation and Missions. All attenders are encouraged to find their place in service. Reset Church has active “Connect Groups” that include: Reset Youth, which meets on Sundays at 6 p.m.; The Evergreens (a group for individuals 50 years and older); Sister Chicks (women’s ministry); as well as other short-term Connect Groups.

We want all who are seeking a church to “PICK-US” and to ensure they will they value the following:

P – Presence; we value the presence of the Lord.

I – Invitation; We regularly employ the use of “invite cards.”

C – Connection; to gain people, they must feel connected.

K – Kingdom; The church exists to extend the Kingdom of God.

U – Unity; this is one of the single most important factors that will make or break a church.

S – Service; we are all called to serve somewhere, somehow.

Hastings also is serving the community as a volunteer Police and Fire chaplain with the Marysville Crisis Support Services. Reset Church is supporting a cooperative effort to provide a meal for those in need in the community. The Feeding Ministry is made up of three cooperating churches and meets the needs up to 50 hungry homeless and low-income families each week.
