MARYSVILLE – The city’s 23rd Annual Fishing Derby will take place Saturday, May 6, from 8-11 a.m. at Jennings Memorial Park.

Children may bring their own equipment or use the equipment provided.

A limit of one fish per entrant is enforced.

Door prizes and grand prizes are determined by a random drawing.

The Marysville Kiwanis Club also is sponsoring a Pancake Breakfast at the same time in the red barn at the park. Cost is $5 for adults, $3 for kids.

Attendees are asked to bring a canned food item for the Marysville Food Bank.

The derby is one of a number of such events put on by the Everett Steelhead and Salmon Club.
