“After experimenting with many media like oils, printing, charcoal drawing, enamelwork, ceramics, mosaics, collage and painted furniture, I have found what I love the most is acrylic painting,” Harvey said.

“Besides the quick drying time and ease of clean up, I like the one-on-one immediate connection of paint to brush to canvas. What you do is what you get,” she said. Harvey gets joy from the color, the fun, the beauty and the magic of capturing the many simple objects around us all and in our imaginations.

Harvey is a member of the Arlington Arts Council and Greater Marysville Art Guild. Her paintings can be viewed during regular business hours at Lake Stevens City Hall.
