Halloween in Arlington Oct. 28

ARLINGTON – The city’s annual Hometown Halloween is Oct. 28 downtown.

A Harvest Party and Pumpkin Roll start the day off, both at 11 a.m.

People can roll their pumpkins down the Third Street hill. And, until 1 p.m., they can attend the party at Arlington United Church, 338 McLeod Ave.

At noon, downtown businesses on Olympic Avenue will be available for trick or treating.

A Costume Contest follows at Legion Park at 1. At 1:30, judging for a Pumpkin Decorating Contest will take place at Arlington Hardware. Awards will be given at 2. Pumpkins need to be dropped off for the competition there Friday from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. or that Saturday from 7 a.m. to noon.

The events conclude with a comedy show called “Die Laughing” at the Olympic Theater. It starts at 7 p.m. Cost is $10.
