Peace, and murder, in 3 angels comedy

MARYSVILLE – Red Curtain’s holiday production is the warm-hearted comedy ”My Three Angels.” Directed by Eric Bischoff, “My Three Angels” offers a non-traditional look at the Christmastime tenets of good will and peace on earth … with a little murder thrown in for good measure.

The cast of local actors includes Richard Morris as Joseph, Justin Tinsley as Jules, Ben St. Hilaire as Alfred, John Chapman as Felix Ducotel, Marli Bartness as Emilie Ducotel, Alexis Jones as Marie Louise Ducotel, Steve Smith as Henri Trochard, Jacy Leavitt as Paul, Kathleen Sasnett as Madame Parole, and Aidan Bartness as The Lieutenant.

The scene is French Guiana, Christmas Day 1910, where the temperature has dropped to 104 degrees. Three amiable convicts are employed as roofers at Ducotel’s General Store. On the way from France is an evil-minded cousin and his cold-blooded nephew, who jilted the Ducotel’s daughter for an heiress. The three convicts are passionate believers in true justice, and decide it’s their job to take the visitors on. Performances are Friday and Saturday nights Dec. 1-17 at 8 p.m. and Sundays at 2 p.m. at the Red Curtain Arts Center, 9315 State Ave, Suite J.

Tickets are available online at brownpapertickets.com; at the RCF box office by phone 360-322-7402); or at the arts center Tuesday-Saturday from 2-6 p.m.
