Arlington Scouts clean up cemetery

ARLINGTON – Eight boys with Arlington Boy Scout Troop 178 and two Scout leaders worked at the Arlington Cemetery Sept. 11 cleaning headstones, pulling weeds and sweeping walkways.

The troop does a couple community service projects each month.

“The boys like to do anything outdoors and active. September 11 was the perfect day to volunteer at the cemetery,” said Julie Urie, Scout mom. City cemetery coordinator Tawnya Post told them, ”One of the greatest gifts you can give is your time.”
