ARLINGTON – The 50th annual Fly-In got off to a high-flying start Friday and is continuing tonight.

Saturday evening cost is just $20 for a carload.

You can catch the final hour of drone racing inside its cage.

You can listen to various bands, and visit the beer garden.

You can have your kids play in a special area for them.

You can visit food booths.

You can watch the always popular balloon glow.

And, new this year, you can watch a night drone show that looks like a digital fireworks program and are not to be confused with UFO’s.

Camp Adams, which feature various military vehicles, also is around, as are static displays of planes, including historical and experimental ones.

On the Runway theater, the movie “Always” will be shown.

The event’s final day is Sunday, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Exhibits, street fair, workshops and open flight in the drone cage are features. Food vendors open at 11 a.m. and there will be Fly-Bys and barbecue at noon.

Warbird flying is also set for noon.

The ever popular flour bombing contest will be at 1:30 and the main gates closes at 2 p.m. with awards handed out at 3:30.
