Please allow me to tell you why I am voting for John Koster.

I have known Koster for more than 10 years, starting back in the mid-1990s when he was a legislator representing Snohomish County in the State House of Representatives and I was a staff member there. I found Koster a hard-working man of integrity who as a dairy farmer brought a much-needed perspective to Olympia.

When Koster was elected to the County Council in 2001 I moved to Snohomish County to serve as his Legislative Analyst. For six years, before the Democrats got the supermajority to fire me, I daily worked with Koster closely. He is the man who inquires of each new proposal advanced by the bureaucracy: “Is this lawful?”, “Is this within the proper role of government?”, “Can we do this without a tax increase?”

The Koster integrity and clear vision gained my confidence over those years and retains my vote today.
