By now, it should be common knowledge that Mark Roe has been serving citizens in the Snohomish County Prosecutor’s Office for over 23 years. He has handled numerous high profile criminal cases on behalf of citizens and served in various leadership roles throughout his career in the Prosecutor’s Office.

What is not common knowledge is Mark’s unique understanding of the importance of the Prosecutor’s Office in the efficient and effective operation of the entire law and justice system. During my term as County Clerk I worked closely with Mark and other Snohomish County law and justice system leaders to address our joint budget concerns. As a result of those inter-department budget meetings, Mark led the charge and presented our budgets and priorities as a coordinated package to the County Council. In his presentation, Mark summarized our respective roles in the criminal justice system as a flowing river and when one department is unable to perform, it impedes the entire system’s flow. With Mark’s leadership, the Clerk’s Office and the Prosecutor’s Office also collaborated and coordinated processes for collection of court ordered legal financial obligations for crime victims. As Prosecutor, Mark’s collaborative vision and leadership will continue to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the entire criminal justice system and enhance the public safety of all of the citizens of Snohomish County.

The combination of Mark’s experience, common sense leadership, unparalleled commitment and deep rooted passion for the role and responsibilities of the Prosecutor’s Office on behalf of citizens makes for a clear case that Mark Roe is the only qualified, competent, experienced candidate for Prosecuting Attorney. He is the Snohomish County Prosecuting Attorney and he deserves your vote.
