Koster for Council

Recently there have been several letters accusing County Councilman John Koster of caring little for the land, being a “tool” of large land developers and failing to keep in touch with local community’s needs and activities.

Nothing could be so untrue!

John was raised on a farm near Island Crossing. Farming is in his blood and no one cares more for the land and property rights than he.

Darrington is a very small town but as a County Councilman he keeps in touch with our Mayor and City Council on a regular basis. Several months ago he participated in the dedication of our new bridge over the Sauk River and recently attended a “Candidate’s Forum” at our local libarary. He knew there would not be a large crowd in attendance but he came anyway to meet our townspeople and answer their questions.

John understands our concern about rising taxes and he continues to pledge that he will not vote for any new or increased taxes. He has been faithful to to the principles he held when he first ran for this office and can be counted upon to keep his word. The positive nature of the campaign he has run against his opponent also attests to his character.

Let us keep the values of experience, good judgment and balance that he brings to the County Council and reelect John Koster.
