Marysville offers free concerts, movies in the park

MARYSVILLE — The Marysville Parks and Recreation Department and exclusive sponsor FiOS are presenting the 2010 Sounds of Summer Concert Series as well as the 2010 Popcorn in the Park outdoor movie series.

Upcoming concerts and movies include:

Recess Monkey in Concert

Enjoy Marysville Parks and Recreation’s Sounds of Summer Concert Series Friday, July 30, at 7 p.m., featuring the ultimate kid-friendly, parent approved band, Recess Monkey! Bring the whole family and especially the kiddos. Located at Jenning’s Park (6915 Armar Rd).

Luc and the Lovingtons in Concert

Enjoy Marysville Parks and Recreation’s Sounds of Summer Concert Series Friday, Aug. 6, at 7 p.m., featuring Pop and Soul Funk band Luc and the Lovingtons. Located at Jenning’s Park (6915 Armar Rd).

Hook –Outdoor Movie

Enjoy Marysville Parks and Recreation’s Popcorn in the Parks Outdoor Cinema Series this Saturday, July 31, at dusk (approximately 9 p.m.) featuring the classic tale, “Hook.” Free popcorn. Located at Jenning’s Park (6915 Armar Rd).

Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs – Outdoor Movie

Enjoy Marysville Parks and Recreation’s Popcorn in the Parks Outdoor Cinema Series Saturday, Aug. 7, at dusk (approximately 9 p.m.) featuring “Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs” (PG). Free popcorn. Located at Jenning’s Park (6915 Armar Rd).
