Tulalip author reads at Marysville BookWorks

MARYSVILLE — Local author J.R. Nakken will be signing and discussing her latest book, "Sweet Grass Season," at the Marysville BookWorks Oct. 9 from 5-7 p.m. and Oct. 10 from 10 a.m. to noon.

Nakken, who lives in Tulalip, is the author of two previously published books. Her first novel, "Three-Point Shot," was written for young adults and won a Writer's Digest award. Her second book, "Stream and Light: A Woman's Journey," is a collection of essays taken from her life.
