BPAC management in transition

In light of the summer resignation of Cindy Huleatt, management of the Byrnes Performing Arts Center is in temporary transition with a school district employee, Denise Dewey, booking the theater and three city employees marketing the theater, according to Allen Johnson, who announced the plan at the Oct. 6 City Council meeting.

Those employees are Paul Ellis, Sherri Phelps and Sarah Hegge, who is attending the Arts Northwest Booking Conference this week in Eugene, Ore. An executive committee comprised of four elected officials from the BPAC Advisory Commission are meeting with two consultants to come up with a plan for the performing arts center at Arlington High School.

The executive committee includes Chris Raezer and Marilyn Oertle from the Arlington City Council and Bob McClure and Jeff Huleatt from the Arlington School District Board of Directors.

To book the hall, call the school district at 360-618-6200.
