Live music at Art at the Plant Farm

The Stilly River Band is known to their legions of Northwest fans as the bad boys of bluegrass. These daring guys combine the likes of Earl Scruggs and the Temptations, with a generous dose of humor thrown in.
• 1 - 3 p.m.,
Sept. 13 and 14
Paul Nyenhuis makes beautiful Native American flutes and plays them, too. He brings his flutes to many gatherings in the region enhancing the ambiance of an event with a mellow and soothing sound.
• 4 - 6 p.m.,
Sept. 13
An original coffeehouse rock and roots band, One Ton of Ducks features a tight ensemble of seasoned musicians including Steve Harris, Gizam and friends playing original songs from four different Big Quack recordings. There may also be a rare guest performance from Healing Dux, a band alter ego, playing improvisational ambient “art music.”
• 10 a.m. - noon, Sept. 14
Amber Darland’s lyrics convey a message, either about her, or about things around her. None of the words are random fillers. Her talent is obvious and simple enough to welcome people to participate.
• 4 - 6 p.m.,
Sept. 14
Larry La Verne offers beautiful, and haunting Celtic vocals, with a smattering of Irish shanty songs thrown in, a perfect finale for the Art at the Plant Farm.
