January 17, 2013 · 7:28 PM

MARYSVILLE — The Marysville Library will suspend its usual rules about quiet for one night, from 6:30-7:30 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 28, to present a musical tribute to the career of Neil Diamond.

"And the Singer Sings His Song: The Life and Songs of Neil Diamond" will present an evening of musical entertainment for all ages, courtesy of the Friends of the Marysville Library.

Diamond's career began in the song mills of "Tin Pan Alley," and his songs has been covered by diverse groups ranging from The Monkees to UB40.

Using songs and stories, Bryan Stratton will help attendees learn more about this icon of 1970s and '80s pop music, by leading off the show with "Cherry Cherry."

The Marysville Library is located at 6120 Grove St.
