MARYSVILLE — Everyone from choirs to a pair of friends willing to share their musical talents can brighten the holiday season of others while helping local food banks.

The annual Sing from the Heart event will be conducted Dec. 10-12 at all Haggen Food & Pharmacy stores. Haggen stores will donate a $50 gift card to a local food bank for each hour a group presents holiday music. Participants may include organizations, quartets, choirs, families or friends. Children’s groups can register for 30-minute performances.

“These local singers and musicians make us smile while also helping many in need this holiday season,” said Becky Skaggs, spokesperson for Haggen stores.

Sing from the Heart will be presented at each Haggen store from 2-7 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 10; noon to 7 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 11 and noon to 5 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 12. Groups must register in advance for a time at the guest services counter of a Haggen store or by calling a store.
