MARYSVILLE — Virga Nordby was born on April 16, 1907.

On April 16, 2010, she celebrated her 103rd birthday at the Marysville Care Center.

When asked what her trick was for living to 103 years old, she said, "Eat chocolate every day."

When asked how she felt about turing 103 years old, she said, "I feel the same as I did yesterday."

"It's amazing," said Bette Vandusual, Nordby's daughter, on the occasion of her mother's 103rd birthday. "She looks so good and so alert. She is much older than she thought she would be. It's grand. She is doing so well."

Stephanie Bonanzino, executive director of the Marysville Care Center, noted that Nordby's fellow residents at the center describe her as "a nice person to be around."

"It is wonderful to watch Virga continue to live her life with the highest quality and allow us to be part of something so amazing," Bonanzino said. "She enriches the lives of all of us at the Marysville Care Center with her life story, history and amazing perseverance."
