Family Swim Nights
The Marysville Healthy Communities Project invites Marysville residents to the Marysville-Pilchuck High School Pool for three free nights of swimming for the first 200 to attend. Healthy Communities Swim Nights will offer open swim from 7-9 p.m. on Jan. 23, Feb. 27 and March 27.
Walking Wednesdays
Marysville Public Schools, a key partner in the Marysville Healthy Communities Project, has established Walking Wednesdays, free nights of weekly walking, jogging or running the stairs under the bright lights at Marysville-Pilchuck High School Stadium’s running track.
You can walk, jog or run the stadium stairs every Wednesday from 4:40-9 p.m.. It’s a great no-cost outdoor workout that will promote better physical fitness while while good for your heart and burning fat.
Increasing access to free and low-cost recreational opportunities is a key priority of the Marysville Healthy Communities Project to promote physical fitness and good nutritional habits, while combatting obesity.
The HC Project asks each participant to donate a nutritious canned food item on arrival for the Marysville Community Food Bank. For more information call Marysville Parks at 360-363-8400.
