Marysville student receives scholarship from WSU

PULLMAN — Andrew Vavrousek was awarded a $1,000 Charles W. Harrison Engineering Scholarship by the Washington State University College of Engineering and Architecture. Students receiving this award must demonstrate academic excellence in math and science and show an interest in engineering.
Vavrousek graduated from Marysville Getchell High School's School for the Entrepreneur in 2012 and plans to graduate from WSU in May 2016 with a degree in electrical engineering. He is a member of the National Honor Society and earned the Marysville School District Certificate of Achievement and the State of Washington Certificate of Academic Achievement.
Vavrousek is the son of Beth and John Vavrousek of Marysville.
