Mayor seeks citizen to fill vacancy on Marysville Planning Commission

MARYSVILLE — Mayor Jon Nehring is seeking individuals interested in filling a vacancy on the city of Marysville Planning Commission.

The successful nominee to the planning commission would serve a six-year term. Applicants must reside within Marysville city limits. The seven-member Planning Commission is an advisory board to the mayor and City Council on issues such as land use, critical areas and shoreline management planning, and long-range planning issues. The commission meets at 7 p.m. on the second and fourth Tuesday of each month in Marysville City Hall, located at 1049 State Ave.

The appointment is made by the mayor and confirmed by the Council.

To apply, individuals are asked to send a brief letter of interest and resume to the City Clerk's Office at Marysville City Hall, 1049 State Ave., Marysville, WA 98270. Deadline to apply is 5 p.m. Friday, Aug. 3. For more information, call 360-363-8000.
