Kids invited to annual fishing derby at Kiwanis Pond May 7

MARYSVILLE – Don't miss the catch of the day when the Marysville Kiwanis Club, Everett Steelhead and Salmon Club, and Marysville Parks and Recreation invite you and your children to the 17th Annual free Fishing Derby held at Jennings Memorial Park Kiwanis Pond on Saturday, May 7.

The event is open to children ages 12 and under and will begin at 8 a.m. Children may bring their own equipment or use the equipment that will be provided. A limit of one fish per entrant will be enforced. Door prizes and grand prizes will be determined by a random drawing of all participants.

The Marysville Kiwanis Club will sponsor a Pancake Breakfast from 8-11 a.m. in the pavilion. Cost for the breakfast will be $3 a plate for kids, $5 adults. Participants are asked to bring a canned food item to be donated to the Marysville Food Bank. Please leave pets at home. For more information, please call 360-363-8400.
