MARYSVILLE - Marysville residents are invited to attend Mayor Jon Nehring’s next coffee klatsch for coffee, pizza and conversation from 3-4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 17.

The next klatsch in this occasional series will be in the Council Chambers, 2nd Floor in City Hall, 1049 State Ave. Please RSVP to City Executive Asst. Lynn Schroeder at 360-363-8091 or e-mail lschroeder@marysvillewa.gov.

Coffee and light refreshments will be provided, along with a sampling of gourmet pizzas provided by Jet City Pizza, with a new Marysville at 11515 State Ave. No. C.

“These get-togethers are meant to be informal and hopefully less intimidating for some people,” Nehring said. “Whether you have a neighborhood issue to resolve, questions about a City project, program or service, or you want to compliment workers on a job well done, this is an open forum.”

Nehring advocates open public communications, regularly responding to phone calls and e-mails from constituents, as well as in one-on-one scheduled visits. Citizens can also have their comments heard under the audience participation segment at regular City Council meetings. In that setting, residents go to the podium, speak into a microphone and voice their concerns to the Mayor and Council.
