Holiday shopping goes ‘Late ’til 8′ in downtown Marysville

MARYSVILLE — At the same time that Comeford Park was celebrating "Merrysville for the Holidays" on Dec. 7, the merchants of historic downtown Marysville were staying open "Late 'til 8" to offer extended shopping hours as part of their annual "Passport to Christmas" event, but the Downtown Marysville Merchants Association has no intention of going to bed early again just yet.

Volunteers needed for United Way’s IRS-approved free tax preparation site in Marysville

MARYSVILLE — As part of United Way's IRS-approved free tax preparation program in 2014, volunteers are needed to help north Snohomish County working families keep more of what they earn. All volunteers will receive training from United Way and will become certified by the IRS. In addition to tax preparers, United Way is also looking for volunteer greeters and intake screeners.

Marysville Walmart set to open Sept. 18

MARYSVILLE — The long-awaited Marysville Walmart is finally set to open on Wednesday, Sept. 18, after a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 7:30 a.m. The new store is located at 8713 64th St. NE and will be open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, to provide Marysville residents with one-stop shopping convenience for their grocery and general merchandise needs, as well as pharmacy services.
