LAKEWOOD — He’s an engineer who became a dentist, but Dr. Nanda Manogaran promises to provide a personable touch to his services at Pleasant Smile Dental Care.

Manogaran’s curiosity was initially piqued by studying the materials used in dental care, before he began studying the biological background of the field. But beyond just the research, what’s really kept him excited about dental care is interacting with his patients.

“I get to work with people from all walks of life,” Manogaran said. “I enjoy the different aspects of treating everyone from children to the elderly. I used to work in nursing homes, for those who couldn’t care for themselves, and as part of the public health services for the Navajo of New Mexico and other under-served populations. I’ve also done after-school preventive programs. This profession is challenging and rewarding.”

With 10 years of practicing dentistry under his belt, Manogaran touted the friendly, caring atmosphere of his office.

“I grew up on a farm, so I’m used to small towns and working-class people,” Manogaran said.

At the same time, Manogaran emphasized that his office covers all aspects of dentistry, to meet the needs of a growing community.

“We provide dental care for the whole family,” Manogaran said.

Manogaran has also continued to focus on preventive dental care.

“I want to nurture dental wellness,” Manogaran said. “It’s a joy to educate people on how they can help themselves feel better.”
